Jammin' Jars — Monster Casino

Push Gaming's disco-fruit cluster slot, read off the provider's own spec sheet rather than a review carousel: two RTP builds, one enormous ceiling, and a stake cap that changes the maths for UK players.

  • RTP 96.83% or 94.25%
  • High volatility
  • Max win 19,998.5x
  • 8×8 cluster pays

Jammin' Jars is Push Gaming's 8×8 cascading cluster slot from 2018. Five or more matching fruits joined horizontally or vertically pay, the winning symbols vanish and new ones drop in, and a jam jar wild stays on the grid with a multiplier that climbs by one for every cluster it helps make. The provider publishes two RTP builds, 96.83% and 94.25%, and a ceiling of 19,998.5x the stake.

How Jammin' Jars works

Forget paylines. The grid is eight symbols wide and eight tall, and a win is any group of five or more identical fruits that touch each other left-right or up-down — diagonals do not count. Pay the win, remove the symbols, let the column above collapse into the gap, check again. That cascade is the engine of the whole game: a single drop can keep paying four or five times in a row before it runs out.

The jar is what makes it Jammin' Jars rather than any other cluster slot. It acts as a wild, it does not disappear when a cluster pays, and it shuffles to a new position after each cascade. Its multiplier starts at 1x and adds one every time it takes part in a win. Two jars on the same board multiply together, which is why the game's reputation rests on a handful of clips rather than on steady returns.

The demo, and why it asks you to log in first

This is the single most misunderstood thing about slot demos in Britain. A casino licensed by the Gambling Commission has to verify a customer's age before that customer can gamble or use a free-to-play version of a gambling game. So at a GB-licensed site, demo mode sits behind registration and the identity check, and there is no way around it that stays inside the rules.

What that means in practice:

  • A demo that opens instantly, with no account and no age gate, is not being served under a GB licence. It may be the provider's own showcase, or an offshore site. Either is fine for looking at the mechanics; neither tells you anything about the version a UK casino would run.
  • Once your account is verified, demo mode is genuinely useful for one thing: reading the information panel. That is where the RTP build actually in use is printed, along with the paytable and the cluster sizes.
  • Demo results tell you nothing about real results. Same maths, different sample. A demo session that runs hot is a small sample, not a sign.

Our guides section walks through registration and verification step by step if that is the part you are stuck on.

Maximum win

Push Gaming states the ceiling as 19,998.5× the stake. Almost every review rounds it to 20,000x, which is close enough for conversation and wrong enough to be worth noting when you are comparing spec sheets.

Put UK numbers on it. Online slot stakes are capped at £5 a spin here, so the theoretical maximum on a single spin is a little under £100,000. For an 18–24 player on the £2 cap it is a little under £40,000. Both figures come from multiplying a cap by a ceiling, and neither should be read as a target — reaching the top of a high-volatility cluster game requires jar multipliers stacking in a way that happens in a vanishingly small fraction of sessions.

Casinos also apply their own maximum payout rules to bonus funds. At Monster Casino the welcome offer converts a maximum of £50 from the bonus and £20 from the spins, so a big hit made with bonus money is capped long before the game's ceiling is anywhere near relevant. Read the bonus terms before assuming otherwise.

RTP and volatility

Push Gaming ships Jammin' Jars in two return-to-player builds and lets the operator choose. That is normal for the industry and it is also the reason a single “the RTP is 96.83%” headline is not enough to act on. The difference between the builds is 2.58 percentage points, which is larger than the entire house edge of some table games.

How to check which build your casino runs

We are not going to tell you which build Monster Casino or anyone else has configured, because operators do not publish that and guessing it would be exactly the sort of invented number this site tries to avoid. Check it yourself instead — it takes fifteen seconds:

  1. Open the game and let it load fully.
  2. Open the information or paytable panel, usually behind a burger icon or an “i” in the corner.
  3. Scroll to the bottom. The RTP in use is printed there, and on many builds it also appears on the loading screen.
  4. If the figure shown is not one of the two Push Gaming publishes, you are not playing the provider's stock build — ask support which version is deployed.

On volatility, treat the label seriously. High volatility in a cascading game means the base game bleeds slowly while you wait for jars to line up, and the distribution of outcomes is dominated by results you will probably never see. That is not a reason to avoid it; it is a reason to size the session properly, which is what the calculator below is for.

Bonus features

Feature

Jam jar wilds

What happens
The jar substitutes for any fruit, survives the cascade, moves to a new spot and adds one to its multiplier for every winning cluster it joins.
Why it matters
It is the only part of the game that compounds. Everything large comes from a jar that has been fed for several cascades in a row.

Feature

Free games

Trigger
Three or more jam jars anywhere on the grid.
Why it matters
The jars persist through the feature, so the multipliers carry from spin to spin instead of resetting. This is where the headline results are made.

Feature

Rainbow feature

Trigger
Random, in the base game.
Why it matters
It drops oversized fruit onto the board, which makes large clusters far more likely on that drop. It cannot be bought or forced.

Availability in the UK
Switched off. Casinos licensed in Great Britain do not offer feature buy buttons, even on games that support them elsewhere.
Why it matters
If a site shows you a buy button from a UK address, that tells you something important about the site.

Bankroll calculator

This is arithmetic, not a simulation of luck. It tells you what the published RTP costs you on average over a given number of spins, and how long a bankroll lasts if the game performs exactly to its long-run average — which, in a high-volatility slot, it almost never does over a single session. Use it to choose a stake, not to predict an outcome.

Great Britain caps online slot stakes at £5 a spin, and at £2 a spin for players aged 18–24, so the stake field stops there.

The last row is the one people misread. “Spins before the bankroll is theoretically gone” assumes the game returns its published percentage on every single spin, which no slot does. In a high-volatility game the realistic outcomes are a much shorter session, or a much longer one, and the average is a line almost nobody's actual session follows. More on session discipline in our tips section.

Where to play it

Honest answer first: Monster Casino does not publish a searchable game list, a supplier list or a game count, so we cannot promise you that Jammin' Jars is in the lobby today. Nobody who has not logged in can. Anyone who tells you otherwise is reading a template.

What you can do in under a minute:

  1. Sign in and type “Jammin” into the lobby search. Cluster titles are often filed under Slots rather than Megaways or Jackpots, so use search rather than browsing categories.
  2. If it is there, open the information panel and note the RTP build before your first spin.
  3. If it is not, look for the same shape of game — cascading cluster pays with a persistent multiplier wild. Our games section covers the categories in the lobby and how they are grouped.
  4. Check whether the game counts fully towards wagering if you are playing with bonus funds. Contribution varies by title and it is set out in the bonus terms, not in the game.

One more practical point: the welcome offer's free spins are tied to Starburst, not to this game. If you were planning to meet wagering on Jammin' Jars specifically, check the contribution table first rather than assuming.

Then and now

The game has not changed since 2018. What a UK player is allowed to do with it has changed a great deal, and most older reviews still describe the old world.

Jammin' Jars FAQ

What is the RTP of Jammin' Jars?

Push Gaming publishes two builds: 96.83% and 94.25%. The operator picks one, so the only figure that applies to your session is the one printed in the game's information panel when it loads. Check it before the first spin rather than trusting a review headline.

What is the maximum win?

19,998.5 times the stake, per Push Gaming. It is rounded to 20,000x nearly everywhere. At the UK cap of £5 a spin that is a theoretical ceiling just under £100,000, and it is an extremely rare outcome in a high-volatility game.

Can I play the demo in the UK?

Only after you have registered and passed the age check. Great Britain requires age verification before free-to-play versions of gambling games can be shown, so demo mode at a GB-licensed casino sits behind the sign-up. Instantly available demos are not being served under a GB licence.

How does the free games feature start?

Land three or more jam jars anywhere on the grid. They stay on the board through the feature and their multipliers keep climbing with each winning cluster, which is where almost all of the game's largest results come from.

Can I buy the bonus?

Not at a casino licensed in Great Britain. The game supports a feature buy in some markets, but GB-licensed operators do not offer buy buttons, so the free games have to arrive through ordinary play.

Is it high volatility?

Yes, and Push Gaming says so on the game page. Expect long quiet stretches broken by rare outsized results. Size your session for the quiet part; the calculator above shows what a given stake costs over a hundred spins at each published RTP.

What stake can I play in the UK?

Up to £5 a spin, or £2 a spin if you are between 18 and 24. Those caps took effect on 9 April 2025 and 21 May 2025 and apply to every online slot on a GB-licensed site, whatever the game's own maximum bet is elsewhere.

Do free spins from the welcome offer work on it?

No. Monster Casino's welcome spins are tied to Starburst. Whether Jammin' Jars contributes fully to the wagering requirement is a separate question answered by the contribution table in the bonus terms, so read that before planning a session around it.

Check the lobby, then check the RTP

Open an account, search the lobby, and read the information panel before the first spin. New players get 100% up to £1,000 plus 100 spins on Starburst at 10x wagering, with a £20 qualifying deposit.
